Three words you never want to hear from tech support. After a year and a half on my new operating system, I guess I was due for a total system meltdown. Because that's just how it seems to work in the land of a certain software company (*cough*microsoft*cough*).
And after 4 days of calls to various tech support lines, all of whom say "the problem is the other company's fault, call them", I have a solution (albeit a time-consuming one). This was a week of many profanities, long waits on hold, frustrating news and even more frustrating help. If I wasn't already coloring my hair, I think we could count a least a dozen new grey hairs. Needless to say, I am NOT a happy camper and am 100% decided that I will be switching to a different operating system next time around (the one named after a delicious, intelligent, design-savvy and user-friendly fruit).
To all my clients with outstanding orders or who are waiting on their galleries, I apologize for the delay. My operating system (not naming any names but rhymes with "sista") has decided to go kaput, which has compromised my wireless access and corrupted my photo file management and editing software. Not to worry, all photos are safe and sound on my external drive and on DVD's. But it may be the end of the week before I'm able to get going on things again.
If any orders or galleries are delayed beyond the 2 week timeline I gave you, I will give you print gift certificate. Thank you so much for your patience.
