Blog title is referencing this book. He’s a big fan of the Leslie Patricelli books. Such a great way to teach opposites in a clear way for little ones. He walks around saying “happy Jack” or “baby happy” when he feels so (yes, he refers to himself as baby).

But in all seriousness, this was such an amazing afternoon for me. It’s always an honor to be trusted and welcomed into a family’s home during such a special, intimate time. This mama and daddy opened their doors and then tried to wait on me hand and foot (every time I turned around my water was refilled). So kind they were. So gentle with their baby girl. So patient. And so loving. When I was photographing Miss Emily, I could hear them whispering to each other about how cute/sweet/sleepy she was. It just fills my heart with joy to be part of such a special and fleeting time in a family’s life.

This was the session of white. Not planned and a wonderful creative surprise. Mom and Dad had a huge helping hand in this and had conceptualized a beautiful way to capture the family together as simply as possible. Just white with a few accents of color. LOVE. IT.

M & D, thank you, thank you, thank you for such a relaxed, serene and happy session. You were truly a joy to “work” with (can I call this job work?). Can’t wait to share your whole gallery with you soon.
